1. Acceptance

By creating an account, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.


2. Informed Use

PassTheBot is designed to help you improve your resume and job search workflow, but it does not replace your judgment. By using the service, you confirm that you will review any suggestions, uploads, exports, and AI-generated outputs before relying on them. You are responsible for making sure all information you submit or publish is accurate, lawful, and appropriate for your own use.

You also agree not to treat scores, recommendations, or templates as guarantees of hiring outcomes, ATS passage, or employer response. We provide tools and guidance, but the final decisions about what to submit, apply with, or publish remain yours.


3. Disclaimer of Warranties & What We Provide

PassTheBot provides software tools for resume analysis, optimization, and job-search workflows. We want to be straightforward about what the service can and cannot do: we do not guarantee employment outcomes, ATS results, interview calls, or hiring decisions.

By using this service, you explicitly acknowledge and agree that:

  • We provide software tools to assist with your job application process; we are not an employment agency, recruiter, or career coach.
  • We do not promise, guarantee, or warrant that using our tools will result in job offers, interviews, callbacks, or any specific career outcome.
  • Some features depend on third-party infrastructure, including AI, storage, email, and payment providers. We choose providers carefully, but their systems, policies, and availability are outside our direct control.
  • The service is provided on an "AS-IS" and "AS-AVAILABLE" basis without any representations or warranties, express or implied. We expressly disclaim any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

3. Age Requirement

You must be at least 16 years old to use PassTheBot. By creating an account or using our service, you represent that you are at least 16 years old. If we become aware that an account has been created by someone under 16, we will delete it promptly.


4. Your Account

  • You must provide a real email address
  • You are responsible for keeping your password secure
  • You may not share your account with others
  • One account per person

5. Acceptable Use

You may not:

  • Upload content you do not have the right to use
  • Use the service to create fraudulent resumes or misrepresent your experience
  • Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or extract data from the service
  • Use automated tools to access the service (bots, scripts) without our written permission
  • Resell or sublicense outputs from the service
  • Use the service for any illegal purpose

6. Your Content

You retain ownership of the content you upload or submit, including resumes, job descriptions, and related materials. By using the service, you grant PassTheBot a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, copy, parse, transform, analyze, transmit, and display that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, improve, support, and provide the service to you.

We do not claim ownership of your content. We may store uploaded files, parsed resume data, optimization history, generated exports, logs, and related metadata for account functionality, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, recovery, legal compliance, and the other purposes described in our Privacy Policy.


7. AI-Generated Content

Our optimization and analysis features use large language models and related automation. By using these features, you acknowledge that:

  • AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or fabricated details that do not reflect your actual experience
  • You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying all AI-generated content before using it in job applications
  • We cannot take responsibility for consequences that result from using unreviewed or inaccurate AI-generated content
  • AI may rephrase your experience in ways that change the intended meaning — always verify the output matches your actual background
  • We may use different providers, models, routing rules, and fallbacks across plans, features, regions, and availability conditions. Free features may use lower-cost or shared provider routes. Paid plans may receive different routing or prioritization, but we do not guarantee any specific provider, model, latency, exclusivity, or uninterrupted availability unless we explicitly say so in writing.

8. Service Availability

We do not guarantee 100% uptime or uninterrupted service. Service may be interrupted for:

  • Scheduled maintenance (we will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice)
  • Unforeseen technical issues or infrastructure failures
  • Third-party service outages (AI providers, hosting, etc.)
  • Force majeure events

We will make commercially reasonable efforts to restore service promptly after any interruption.


9. Payments & Refunds

  • Pro subscriptions are billed monthly or annually as selected
  • Payments are processed by third-party payment processors we make available at checkout. Processor availability may vary by geography, currency, and product configuration.
  • 7-day refund policy: if unsatisfied within 7 days of first payment, email privacy@passthebot.dev for a refund review
  • After 7 days, no refunds for the current billing period
  • Cancellation takes effect at end of current billing period

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, engage in abuse, or if we reasonably believe your account has been compromised. We will attempt to notify you before termination except in cases of serious violation. You may delete your account at any time from Account Settings.


11. Limitation of Liability and Indemnification

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PassTheBot, its founders, and affiliates shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenues, data, use, goodwill, or similar intangible losses arising from use of the service.

We do not accept liability for failure to secure employment. Hiring outcomes depend on many factors outside our control, including employer decisions, market conditions, timing, and the accuracy of the materials you choose to submit.

In no event shall our aggregate liability for all claims relating to the service exceed the greater of one hundred Indian Rupees (INR 100) or the amount you paid us in the preceding three (3) months.


12. Intellectual Property

You retain all ownership rights to your resume content. PassTheBot retains all ownership rights to the platform, including but not limited to: source code, design, branding, algorithms, scoring systems, and website content. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of our platform without express written permission.


13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Pune, Maharashtra, India.


14. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute, you agree to first attempt to resolve it through good-faith negotiation with us via email at sj@passthebot.dev. If the dispute cannot be resolved within 30 days, it shall be resolved through the courts of Pune, Maharashtra, India.


15. Modifications to the Service and Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service, and we may update these Terms, at any time to reflect product changes, legal requirements, security needs, business decisions, or operational realities. Updated Terms become effective when posted or on the effective date stated in the update. Where required by applicable law, or where we determine a change is material for existing users, we may also provide additional notice by email, in-product notice, or another reasonable method.

By continuing to access or use the Service after updated Terms become effective, you agree to the revised Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.
